FACIAL FILLER

Facial filler or dermal filler like Juvederm Voluma and Restylane Lyft provide immediate lifting, contouring, and definition! Using dermal fillers can be a great way to achieve a youthful appearance. These injections correct wrinkles and fine lines, restore lost volume, and enhance cheeks, lips, and jawline.

During a dermal filler procedure, a medical professional will use a cannula to inject a soft, gel-like substance under the skin. The goal is to re-stimulate the body's collagen production and improve the look of facial wrinkles and lines. It can also improve the appearance of scars.

FAQ

Often referred to as soft tissue fillers, dermal fillers are an injectable treatment that can improve the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles. These fillers are made of substances that occur naturally in the human body, such as hyaluronic acid.

They are an effective way to restore lost facial volume and revitalize your skin. These procedures are less invasive than surgery and can give you instant results. However, they are not permanent and may require follow-up procedures.

It is important to choose an injector with extensive experience as incorrect injection of fillers can cause serious complications. To minimize these risks, our providers will discuss your medical history and thoroughly examine the area to be treated before the injection. At Livio, our staff is trained to help develop a personalized plan that fits your needs and beauty goals.

How long your dermal fillers will last depend on several factors, including the type of filler used, the area treated, and the speed at which your body metabolizes the substance. You can typically expect your dermal filler to last between six months and two years, but some products can last up to two years or longer.

Some common types of dermal fillers include Juvederm Voluma, Juvederm Volux, RHA Redensity and Restylane Lyft. They all work by adding volume beneath your skin, plumping up areas such as your lips, cheeks, jawline, and chin. At Livio Med Spa, your provider will help you come up with a treatment plan, potentially using more than one type of filler, to achieve your beauty goals.

Your provider will go over your health history carefully when you are being treated with a dermal filler. If you have any allergies, please be sure to tell your provider.

You can touch up your filler treatment every few months if you want to prolong your results.

Dermal fillers are very popular cosmetic enhancement procedures. They can help restore skin’s volume, smooth out lines and wrinkles, and enhance facial features.

Compared to cosmetic surgery, dermal fillers are very affordable; however, their prices vary based on the type and amount of filler used and the area being treated. Depending on the type of filler and how much you need, costs can range from $659-$3500 per session.

There are several different types, including those made with calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHa) or polylactic acid (PLLA). CaHa and PLLA fillers are longer-lasting, but they are not reversible.  Hyaluronic acid fillers are all reversible and dissolvable.   Juvederm and Restylane are families of hyaluronic acid fillers. These two product families are both FDA-approved for specific areas. They have several formulations, including Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Voluma, Juvederm Volux, Restylane Lyft, and Restylane Kysse.  Livio also carries the RHA family of fillers including Redensity and RHA 2, 3, and 4.

Dermal fillers can restore your youthful appearance by plumping areas of the face that have lost volume over time, smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, and shape certain features.

Dermal fillers have become one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in recent years. There are many different fillers available, each with its unique benefits. During a consultation, the practitioners at Livio Med Spa will discuss your cosmetic and medical history, as well as your specific goals. We will then recommend the most effective combination of dermal fillers.

The best fillers are formulated with natural ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, which occurs naturally in the body. While the benefits are numerous, some fillers are not reversible or can last 6-12 months or more. However, most fillers are not permanent and their effects eventually fade.

Injectable dermal fillers can be used to enhance the jawline, reduce under-eye circles, and bring symmetry to the face. The process can also be used to smooth out stubborn scars.

When looking for a dermal filler, make sure to ask your practitioner if the filler is reversible. It is important to understand your options before undergoing any medical procedure. At Livio, we offer a full array of FDA-approved dermal fillers.

Although Botox and dermal fillers are both minimally invasive treatments that can smooth certain kinds of wrinkles, there are several key differences to keep in mind as you consider which treatment will better help you achieve your beauty goals.

Botox is a cosmetic procedure that relaxes specific muscles in the face. When the muscles can no longer move to make wrinkle-causing facial expressions, the wrinkles eventually fade. The effects of Botox last for a few months.

However, if you are looking for longer-lasting results, you should consider dermal fillers. Depending on the filler used, the results of dermal fillers can last between six months and two years.

Fillers are injected into the skin to add and restore volume to various parts of the face such as the lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, and hands. It helps to lift skin, making it look more youthful. As the skin fills, the folds and static wrinkles become smoother and less noticeable.  Fillers can also be used to improve under eye shadows, and acne scarring.  Dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural compound that is produced in the body, and this substance replaces the collagen that is naturally lost as we age.  Botox, on the other hand, is made with a neurotoxin called botulinum.

Both dermal fillers and Botox injections are administered sub dermally, or underneath the skin. However, Botox is injected into specific muscles, whereas fillers may be injected into areas of the face that don’t move.

Depending on the filler used, the results of dermal fillers can last between six months and two years. However, dermal fillers can cause complications if an unskilled person administers them, ranging from skin necrosis to blindness.

Are you pregnant and considering facial filler? You should know that the FDA does not recommend getting any facial filler treatments.  Specific studies have not been conducted on women who are pregnant or are breastfeeding while getting facial filler, so for that reason, it is not recommended.

The FDA and many providers, including at Livio Med Spa, advise pregnant women to wait until they’ve finished breastfeeding (if they plan to) before getting injectables or fillers.

If you are considering getting any procedure during your pregnancy, please consult your trusted provider to determine whether a particular product is safe.

Whether you are looking to increase volume in your face or shape certain features, Juvederm Voluma is a great option. It offers some of the best lift and support of any dermal filler, and was the first dermal filler approved by the FDA. It contains a patented cross-linking technology that slows the breakdown of hyaluronic acid. Although the results are visible immediately, they will inevitably fade over time.

The amount of time that Juvederm Voluma will last varies depending on the patient. Several factors affect the duration of its effects, including the patient’s lifestyle, genetics, and the skill of the injector.

The effects of Juvederm Voluma can last up to two years in the cheek area and up to one year in the tear trough area. Some patients claim, however, that the effects last even longer. Juvederm Voluma is designed to be longer lasting than most fillers on the markets due to its high molecular weight. Juvederm Voluma is also less likely to break down than hyaluronic acid fillers, which means that you will not have to worry about re-injecting the filler as often.

Livio experienced injectors

If you are considering Juvederm Voluma, you should choose an injector with a lot of experience injecting the product. An inexperienced injector can inject too much filler in one place, which can cause problems. Similarly, the technique of the injector can also affect your results. At Livio Med Spa, our injectors are extensively trained and will work with you to come up with a treatment plan that perfectly suits your beauty goals.

Whether you are looking to increase volume, shape facial elements, or eliminate wrinkles, Juvederm Voluma is a great choice.   It will leave your face looking younger and fresher and help you feel more confident in the mirror. Investing in your face is always a good idea. Schedule your consultation today to see if Juvederm is the right fit for you!

Whether you’re already a patient or are interested in getting Voluma, it is important to know how safe it is. Voluma is an FDA-approved cosmetic filler for restoring volume to the cheeks and submalar area.

Voluma is made of hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the human body. Hyaluronic acid is flexible and can dissolve with an enzyme called Hyaluronidase. It’s important to note that while Voluma is safe for most people, there are some potential side effects. Some of the side effects include swelling, bruising, and itching. Some patients may need anti-inflammatories, antibiotics, or both.

The treatment itself is relatively comfortable. A very thin needle is used to inject the filler into the skin, and the injected area is then massaged to ensure the product spreads evenly.

The number of syringes required depends on the treatment area; some areas may require as many as 5 syringes, while others might need just one syringe.

If you’re concerned about discomfort during the procedure, ask your provider to use topical numbing cream. It’s also important to avoid vigorous exercise, strenuous physical activity, and your normal skin care for 24 to 48 hours after the treatment.

Contact your provider immediately if you experience unusual symptoms, such as pain, swelling, redness, areas of heat, or bleeding. They may suggest a follow-up treatment or other measures to help minimize these side effects.

Safest Filler

You’ll be happy with the results if you’re a good candidate for Voluma.  Juvederm is one of the safest fillers available, and it can help you restore the youthful look of your face. It’s non-surgical, and offers immediate results.

During your consultation appointment, your aesthetic provider will ask several questions about your goals. They will also perform a physical examination and ask about your medical history. Depending on your goals, the provider will recommend a treatment protocol based on your medical history. Juvederm Voluma is FDA approved, and it’s a safe way to improve your facial appearance.

RESTYLANE LYFT is a hyaluronic acid-based aesthetic dermal filler used to add or restore volume to the face and hands, as well as smooth certain wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the body and is responsible for retaining moisture and suppleness. It is a crystal-clear gel used for improving areas where volume is lost.

Restylane is used to restore volume and youthful contours to the face and can be injected in various locations. Common treatment areas or injection sites include the temples, cheeks, and jawline. The treatment is quick and convenient and can be performed in less than an hour.

Before treatment, the skin will be thoroughly cleansed with a disinfectant. A local anesthetic can be applied to manage any discomfort, but is usually not needed. Injections will always be performed by an experienced and highly trained Livio Med Spa provider. Restylane ® Lyft with Lidocaine is a prescription medicine and it is FDA-approved for cheek augmentation and correcting moderate to severe facial folds.

Bruising is possible at the injection site. Minor swelling and redness can also occur, but these side effects can be reduced with over-the-counter Tylenol or ice packs.

You may be thinking of getting Restylane Lyft, or you may already be a patient — either way it’s important to know how long the effects of the treatment will last. The short answer is that it depends on how much was injected during treatment, as well as the speed of your metabolism and other individual bodily responses.

If you have questions about how long your treatment’s effects will last, or how long Restylane Lyft takes to dissipate, please schedule a consultation with our team at Livio.

Post-treatment, Restylane Lyft takes a few days to settle into the skin. You may experience some minor swelling, bruising, and itchiness after your Restylane Lyft treatment, but these symptoms can be reduced by applying ice packs and arnica gel to the treatment site. You should also avoid sun exposure for the first day after the treatment. If you are prone to cold sores, please let your provider know, and they can prescribe Valtrex to help prevent them.
