Livio Academy was established by Lisa McMillan, APRN-C. Lisa along with Livio’s very skilled injector, Sydney Laber APRN-C have been in the aesthetics industry for over 14 combined years, taken over 45 training courses in aesthetics and have trained hundreds of injectors.
Livio Academy is very different from most aesthetic injecting courses. At Livio Academy, we take a meticulous and scientific approach to injecting, and train in-depth on the how and why of aesthetic injection. We will focus on facial anatomy, pharmacology, and aesthetic principles that will allow you to make thoughtful decisions rather than teach “cookbook” injecting techniques.
We understand that it takes time to learn the many techniques in aesthetic medicine, and we price our classes accordingly. Most injecting training courses give you a one-day learning experience for $3000-$5000. When students complete this kind of crash course they can be overwhelmed and nervous about injection. We have a different educational philosophy at Livio Academy.
We believe confident and competent injectors created through incremental education begins with the basics and having this foundation allows you to work towards more complex and involved procedures. Livio Academy will provide the mentorship, education, and guidance required to get start in this exciting and growing field.

Our approach for Livio Academy training seminars are as follows.
- Didactic Instruction – We will dive deeply into the art and science of aesthetic injections
- Observe Injections – Lisa will demonstrate injection techniques while explaining her clinical decision making processes.
- Hands-On Training – You will have the opportunity to inject a model that you bring to our office, implementing the techniques you have learned that day.

- Reconstitution, storage and injection dosing

We will supply the product for you to inject if you bring a model to training. You will need to supply your own model. The cost for the Beginner Injector Training course is $1,550 per injector, 1850.00 if you intend to inject during class.
You must be a licensed RN, NP, or PA in the state of Ohio to inject. You may take the class as an observer if you are a licensed RN, NP, PA in another state.

Livio Med Spa Cincinnati Offers Botox and Dysport Injection Training
Livio Med Spa is delighted to offer basic Botox and Dysport clinical training courses for aesthetic medicine professionals. Our courses teach basic facial Botox treatments as well as risk management, best practices, and complication management. We also provide a full understanding of the mechanism of action and dilution options.
Livio Med Spa offers a 4-hour Botox training workshop. The workshop covers all face areas, including the forehead, glabella, crow’s feet, marionette lines, vertical lip rhytids, and the dimpled chin.
Botox and Dysport training courses include hands-on sessions to teach students how to safely perform these precise injections. Attendees will also learn how to handle Botulinum Toxin and properly store it.
The course provides comprehensive hands-on training, including client consultations, and skin analysis. We cover treatment plans, post-procedure instructions, and management of complications. This training class is also available through a weekend program. Contact us for more information and specific training dates.
During Dysport training, you will learn the basic techniques of injecting Dysport, learn the history of botulinum toxin and its uses for cosmetic purposes through four hour long hands on clinical courses, including a full didactic session, and interactively review facial anatomy.
In order to inject during the training, you will need an active or temporary Ohio License.
Advanced Dermal Filler Training
Whether you are a health care provider or an experienced injector in the cosmetic field, you can take dermal filler training at Cincinnati, OH’s Livio Med Spa to enhance and elevate your practice.
In this class, you will learn how to administer dermal filler injections to patients, resulting in a natural look. You will also learn how to use safe, sterile techniques and proper patient charting guidelines. You will also learn how to avoid risks and complications, as well as how to manage patient expectations.
The program covers basic facial anatomy, marketing strategies, packaging, and referral strategies. There are more and more choices of filler products each day and you will learn about the differences between products and when to choose each filler. In order to inject live models, you will need an active Ohio License.

FAQ
Yes, we do! We offer entry level toxin as well as entry level lip filler training. It is advised to attend the entry level toxin class prior to attending the entry level lip filler course.
RN’s, PA’s and NP’s who are licensed in the state of Ohio are eligible to attend all classes and inject during those classes. If you licensed in another state you are eligible to attend but not eligible to inject without getting a temporary Ohio license. Anyone is eligible to attend the business course.
Most of our trainings are held in our spacious Livio Med Spa location. Contact us if you require training in your own office. Prices may vary for this option.
